I have seen this happen to some people I know. It is very sad. Recently a man locally I know was fearful of gaining his weight back & having some other minor health issues started running several miles a day. Told his family he never felt better & died of a heart attack after a run. That doesn't mean that caused it but there may have been some things that could have prevented it. It is great to get in shape but the danger can happen to people who are middle age & have never been into fitness & because of a health scare or the fear of one in the near future they become instant hardcore fitness fanatics. Instead of first easing into a balanced fitness routine they try to run 10 miles a day. It would also be a great idea to get a complete physical to make sure you do not have a hidden medical condition. Remember moderation in all things. Anyway worth a read. Now this is not an excuse not to exercise but do it smartly & safely.
