It’s that time of year again; the time when insurance companies and doctors start pushing the flu vaccine. Many of you have asked my opinion regarding these vaccines. It seems as if the flu vaccines are being offered earlier every year. This year, I began seeing signs advertising free flu vaccines as early as this past summer. Isn’t this before the traditional flu season? Did you know that during the 2012-2013 flu season, the flu vaccine's effectiveness was found to be just 56 percent across all age groups reviewed by the CDC —in essence, the statistical equivalent of a coin toss? In seniors, aged 65 and over, the US flu vaccines were only nine percent effective. The 'gold standard' of independent scientific evaluation and a***ysis, the Cochrane Database Review, has issued no less than five reports between 2006 and 2010, all of which decimate the myth that flu vaccinations are “the most effective flu prevention method” available. In average conditions, when a flu vaccine at least partially matches the circulating virus, 100 people need to be vaccinated in order to avoid just ONE set of influenza symptoms, according to Cochrane’s findings. However, before getting inoculated, consider the following ingredients that the various flu vaccines contain: egg alb**in; hydrocortisone, a known steroid; formaldehyde, which is a known carcinogen used in embalming fluids; phosphates, some of which are salts and are corrosive to human tissues; mercury, which can lead to numbness, burning, and itching; and thimerosol, which is an inorganic mercury that has been linked to autism. Daniel David Palmer established the modern practice of spinal manipulation. He was born on March 7, 1845 in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, to Katherine McVay and Thomas Palmer. When he was twenty, Palmer moved with his family, to the United States where he worked as a beekeeper, farmer, grocery store owner. Palmer had interests in health philosophies.
Palmer Cures Deafness with Spinal Manipulation
On September 18, 1895, Palmer discovered his health theory about the nervous system when he met Harvey Lillard, the building janitor, who had been deaf for 17 years. Palmer noticed that Lillard had a lump in his back. When asked about the cause of his hearing impairment, Lillard revealed that when he was in a cramped stooping position while exerting himself, he felt something broken in his back. He then instantly lost his hearing. Palmer discovered in an examination, that a vertebra was not in its normal position. He theorized that the dislocated vertebra blocked the spinal nerves controlling the inner ear, and that if the vertebra were replaced, the nerve pathways would reopen. After half an hour of convincing Lillard that if the vertebra in his back were replaced, he would regain his hearing, Palmer then applied a firm pressure to Lillard’s back with his hands, using the spinous process as a lever. Soon after, Lillard did in fact regain his hearing.
