h***o from D'ana Baptiste, founder and president of Inbody Outreach! National Philanthropy Day®, November 15, is the special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy-and those people active in the philanthropic community-have made to our lives, our communities and our world. For many of you, yoga is an important part of your daily routine. Reflect on how your life would be different if you were not able to walk through the doors of your community Yoga studio for your regular yoga practice. There are many people in Salt Lake City and the surrounding communities that can't walk through that door. Through InBody Outreach, we bring yoga to them. This is why I founded InBody Outreach, to bring yoga to underserved populations in our great city! As the acting President of InBody Outreach I work to make sure we will provide, educate, and administratively support free yoga and body awareness instructors for individuals or groups who are in structured therapy or recovery programs, low income populations, people who are in need of greater health awareness and established yoga and wellness programs. On an annual basis, InBody Outreach places over 60 volunteers in 73 organizations. Organizations like the Rape Recovery Center, Odyssey House, and the Road Home, to name a few, benefit from our programs. This is a grassroots, non profit yoga army offering yoga to those in need. Please make InBody Outreach part of your annual giving plans. Funds go to purchasing mats and other supplies for our yoga programs, training for volunteers, and general operating expenses.
