Belly pain and diarrhea can be experienced with abdomen inflammation.

The syndrome's cause isn't known. While the syndrome is said to be linked to some asthma medications, known as leukotriene modifiers, it's not clear if whether they're actually the cause of the disorder or whether patients who take them have much severe asthma that tends to develop the syndrome.
