National Memory Screenng Day is November 19 - a good opportunity for those who may have memory problems to be screened to rule out routine health problems that can contribute to memory loss. What a way to make a Monday! The following comments arrived via email on the hospital's website over the weekend:
"I just wanted to let someone in management know about the amazing service my daughter and I had in the ER last night. Dr. Hill and nurse Holli were so wonderful with my daughter- I have mentioned to so many people today about how much more enjoyable our visit was with these two taking care of my daughter. Also lab technician Amber did so well handling my daughter when drawing her blood- so well in fact my little 4 year old didnt even cry or flinch. Thanks again to the Grundy hospital and all these amazing staff members!!"

The early risers in the Parkersburg Rotary Club will be hearing from GCMH Physical Therapist Chris Wiedman at their 7:00 a.m. Wednesday meeting. Remember that members of the GCMH team are available to speak to your club or organization, too.

Trick or Treating time - keep your little ones warm and dry while bringing delight to the Long Term Care residents of GCMH! Thursday evening, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the hospital lobby, with residents handing out candy supplied by hospital associates. BOO!

Hospital CEO Brian Keller accepted Radiology Manager Craig Buskohl's challenge, and GCMH staff stepped up to donate $500 to the Beyond Pink Team, which meant BOTH guys donned pink scrubs today. Good look for the men, great cause for patients.
